So, last night I took my girlfriend to cinema.

Fortunately, in our town we have an “Art Cinema”: http://www.art-kino.org/2008/home so we weren’t watching some Hollywood blockbuster. Instead, we went to see a documentary on Croatian lesbian choir “Le Zbor“, and their trip to London where they participated on “Various Voices” festival. The film was only 30 minutes long, but fortunately, the heroes of the movie were also present, so after the film we enjoyed the concert of “Le Zbor“, http://lezbor.com/ who got instrumentally supported by their friends from the bend “Vergl Grind”.

The performance was great.

Now, I would like to share their music with you, but I can’t seem to find “Vergl Grind” music anywhere on the net. And, all songs by “Le Zbor” on Youtube (hey, I want multimedia for the readers of my blog) that I can find seem to be poor quality live recordings.

So, what I will try to do is introduce you to their choice of music, by showing how the songs that they sing sound, when they are sung by someone else :)

I know, it’s a stupid idea, but at least you’ll get to know their repertoire :)

So, this is a clip of “Le Zbor” singing Croatian version of the song “Ay Carmela”:

Blog 19 – Croatian SF scandal

But first, the foreplay.

After writing my last post, I have managed to figure out why is the anal sex preference important for news redaction of Croatian national TV. You have probably noticed how the news reporters often give the impression of having the broomstick stuck up their ass?   Well, guess what!

And therefore, not liking anal sex might prevent them in performing their duties with love and passion. So, now we have a reasonable explanation why Croatian TV hostess and singer Ida Prester

was fired from TV show “Croatia Live”, after stating (in an interview for an internet portal) that she doesn’t like anal sex. For more details, see my last post.

And now, our main event:

Croatian SF scandal

Next month, the Istrakon SF convention (and when I say “SF” I also mean fantasy and horror) will take place in Pazin, the administrative and geographic center of Istra. Traditionally, Istrakon

is usually second largest Croatian annual convention, and it is also often considered “the liveliest” convention. Also, for the ninth year in a row, the Istrakon’s collection of short stories will be presented on this convention. The stories are collected through an anonymous contest, chosen by the jury of three members, the best three stories are awarded with financial awards, and the best story that deals with some kind of “Istrian” subject is awarded with a special award – the famous istrian prÅ¡ut. All stories are 5000 to 9000 characters long. Usually about 100 (60 – 130) of stories arrive to the contest, and usually about 30-35 of those stories get published in a collection.
